Description
C-PrOPS (Compact Propulsion Option for Profiling Systems) is a next-generation upgrade to the C-OPS free-fall profiler, using digital thrusters for three-dimensional position control and tunable descent rates. It provides dual-thruster operation and control to C-OPS profiling optical systems, built around BSI’s 19-channel microradiometer optical suite with a radiometrically matched 19-channel surface reference. Core components: an expanded backplane to control the thrusters, a ProPower box supplying power and thruster control with integrated safety circuitry, and a wireless C-TRAC remote for on-deck positioning. Engineered for high-precision environments such as nearshore zones and confined waters. Options include BioSHADE shadowband and BioGPS accessories. Note: the ProPower box requires AC input (100 to 240 VAC) to operate C-PrOPS.
