1. Return Eligibility

Most products purchased from Unmanned Systems Source may be returned within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund of the purchase price. To be eligible for return, items must be unused and in original, uninstalled condition, in original manufacturer packaging with all accessories and documentation included, accompanied by proof of purchase, and free of physical damage caused after delivery.

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Installed or used products β€” once installed in a platform or powered on for testing beyond basic verification
  • Software and licenses β€” digital products, firmware, and license keys once delivered or activated
  • Custom or special-order items β€” products ordered specifically for your application or sourced outside our standard catalog
  • EAR/ITAR-controlled items β€” subject to case-by-case review; contact our compliance team before returning any export-controlled product
  • Hazardous materials β€” batteries, propellants, and other regulated materials that cannot be returned by common carrier without special handling
  • Items beyond 30 days from delivery

3. Return Process (RMA Required)

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Do not ship items back without an RMA β€” unauthorized returns will be refused.

  1. Request an RMA: Email sales@unmannedsystemssource.com or call (520) 620-9818. Include your order number, item(s) to return, and reason for return.
  2. Receive RMA Number: We will issue an RMA number and return shipping instructions within 2 business days. Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package.
  3. Ship the Item: Pack items securely in original packaging. Ship using a traceable carrier. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a manufacturer defect.
  4. Inspection and Processing: Upon receipt, we inspect the return within 5–7 business days. If the item meets return eligibility requirements, we process your refund.

4. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method:

  • Credit/debit card: Refund appears within 5–10 business days of approval
  • Government purchase order: Credit memo issued; applied to your account or processed per your agency's finance procedures
  • Net 30 accounts: Credit applied to your account balance

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a manufacturer defect.

5. Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive a defective or damaged item, contact us within 5 business days of delivery. We will arrange return shipping at no cost and provide a replacement or full refund, including original shipping. Retain all packaging for carrier claim purposes.

6. Government Order Returns

Returns on government purchase orders are handled in accordance with standard RMA procedures. Credit memos are issued against the original purchase order. If your agency requires specific return documentation or a credit memo in a particular format, contact our procurement team at sales@unmannedsystemssource.com.

Export Compliance Note: EAR and ITAR-controlled items must not be returned to USS without prior written authorization from our compliance team. Re-importation of export-controlled items may require a license or license exception. Contact sales@unmannedsystemssource.com before shipping any controlled item back.
